The JPL Open Repository (JOR) replaced the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) in 2023. It is a repository for digital copies of technical publications authored by JPL employees. It includes journal articles (the Final Accepted Version), meeting papers, presentations, and other publications cleared for external distribution from 1992 to the present. It also include research datasets from 2022 on.

Years covered: 1992 to the present.
  • 1992-2021 records were originally on the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) on Dspace system; those records were migrated to Dataverse in 2022.
  • Records with publication date 2022 or later are native to the Dataverse.
  • Data sets: 2022 to present
  • There are a few pre-1992 records. Those were added to the system on a case-by-case request basis.

  • Persistent IDs (PIDs):
  • 1992-2021 records have Handles
  • 2022 and later records have Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).

Lin, T.; Park, J.; George, T.; Jones, E. W.; Fathauer, R. W.; Maserjian, J., 1993, "Long-Wavelength PtSi Infrared Detectors Fabricated by Incorporating a P+ Doping Spike Grown by Molecular Beam Epitaxy", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/35030, Applied Physics Letters, JPL Open Repository
By incorporating a 1-nm-thick p+ doping spike at the PtSi/Si interface, we have successfullydemonstrated extended cutoff wavelengths of PtSi Schottky infrared detectors in the long wavelengthinfrared (LWIR) regime for the first time. The extended cutoff wavelengths resulted from...

Paper maps are an important but unwieldy data format. To increase its utility, copious amounts of map data have been scanned into a digital map knowledge base. The next task in this knowledge base is to reduce this data to its underlying feature form suitable for analysis.

The design and projected performance of a low-light-level active-pixel-sensor (APS) chip with semi-parallel analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion is presented. The individual elements have been fabricated and tested using MOSIS* 2 micrometer CMOS technology, although the integrated...

A study is performed to estimate the cost of an array of small aperture reflector antennas to be used instead or in conjunction with the current large reflector antennas of the JPL/NASA Deep Space Network (DSN), for servicing present and future NASA missions which involve smaller...

Doppler and ranging measurements between spacecraft can be obtained only when the ratio of the total received signal power to noise power density at the receiving spacecraft is sufficiently large that reliable signal detection can be achieved within a reasonable time period.

The TOPES/POSEIDON satellite is maintained in a nearly circular, frozen orbit at an altitude of =1336 km. and an inclination of i = 66.4, which provides an exact repeat ground track every 127 revolutions and overflies two altimetry verifications sites.
