The JPL Open Repository (JOR) replaced the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) in 2023. It is a repository for digital copies of technical publications authored by JPL employees. It includes journal articles (the Final Accepted Version), meeting papers, presentations, and other publications cleared for external distribution from 1992 to the present. It also include research datasets from 2022 on.

Years covered: 1992 to the present.
  • 1992-2021 records were originally on the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) on Dspace system; those records were migrated to Dataverse in 2022.
  • Records with publication date 2022 or later are native to the Dataverse.
  • Data sets: 2022 to present
  • There are a few pre-1992 records. Those were added to the system on a case-by-case request basis.

  • Persistent IDs (PIDs):
  • 1992-2021 records have Handles
  • 2022 and later records have Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).

Ross, R.G., 1994, "(abstract) JPL Cryocooler Development and Test Program Overview", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/34613, Vail, CO, JPL Open Repository
Many near-term and future space-instrument programs within NASA and the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO) depend on the successful development of long-life, low-vibration space cryocoolers. The most demanding near-term programs include a number of science instruments...

Anicich, V.G., 1996, "(abstract) Ion-Molecule Reactions at Your Finger Tips", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/27381, Tucson, AZ, JPL Open Repository
A standalone search engine is described along with a database of ion-molecule kinetics. The engine is available for either Macintosh or IBM/PC computers. The engine will search a supplied database of ion-molecule kinetics data for two body reactions and positive ions. The databas...

R., 1993, "(abstract) Interplanetary Lyman-alpha Observations with the Galileo Ultraviolet Spectrometer: Solar Wind Latitude Variations and Multiple Scattering at Solar Maximum", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/35050, Buenos Aires, Argentina, JPL Open Repository
The Galileo Ultraviolet Spectrometer obtained a Lyman-alpha celestrial sphere map on 13,14 December 1990 near the first Earth encounter, with spacecraft near the interstellar wind downwind axis. The data show solar flux longitudinal and latitudinal asymmetries which are modeled w...

Gautier, T.N., 1993, "(abstract) Infrared Cirrus and Future Space Based Astronomy", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/35150, Tucson, AZ, JPL Open Repository
A review of the known properties of the distribution of infrared cirrus is followed by a discussion of the implications of cirrus on observations from space. Probable limitations on space observations due to IR cirrus
