The JPL Open Repository (JOR) replaced the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) in 2023. It is a repository for digital copies of technical publications authored by JPL employees. It includes journal articles (the Final Accepted Version), meeting papers, presentations, and other publications cleared for external distribution from 1992 to the present. It also includes research datasets from 2022 on.

Years covered: 1992 to the present.
  • 1992-2021 records were originally on the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) on Dspace system; those records were migrated to Dataverse in 2022.
  • Records with publication date 2022 or later are native to the Dataverse.
  • Data sets: 2022 to present
  • There are a few pre-1992 records. Those were added to the system on a case-by-case request basis.

  • Persistent IDs (PIDs):
  • 1992-2021 records have Handles
  • 2022 and later records have Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).

Glazman, Roman E., 1993, "A Cascade Model of Wave Turbulence with Applications to Surface Gravity and Capillary Waves", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/35822, Fractals, JPL Open Repository
A heuristic approach to the derivation of power spectra of wave motion is described and applied to capillary waves. The case of gravity waves studied earlier is briefly reviewed. In contract to the previous studies, the nonlinearity of the wave motion is not required to be small,...

Fluctuations in stmospheric angular momentum (AAM) are examined in a three-year simulation of the perpetual-January climate, performed with of a version of the UCLA general circulation model which contains no tropical, Madden-Julian oscillation (MJO).

Sekanina, Zdenek, 1993, "Nongravitational Motions of Comets: Component of the Recoil Force Normal to Orbital Plane", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/36706, UNKNOWN, JPL Open Repository
The significance and detectability of a normal component of the nogravitational acceleration that perturbs the motions of periodic comets are examined by comparing the total perturbation effect, calculated from the component's empirical term in the equations of motion intergrated...

Kahn, R.; Wenkert, D., 1993, "The Earth Observing System", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/34975, The Van Nostrand Reinhold Encyclopedia of Planetary Sciences, JPL Open Repository
The idea that the climate of Earth has changed is not new. Much evidence has been collected from the sedimentary record indicating periodic as well as secular changes in climate parameters such as surface temperature, precipitation amount, and ice extent and abundance, on many ti...
