The JPL Open Repository (JOR) replaced the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) in 2023. It is a repository for digital copies of technical publications authored by JPL employees. It includes journal articles (the Final Accepted Version), meeting papers, presentations, and other publications cleared for external distribution from 1992 to the present. It also includes research datasets from 2022 on.

Years covered: 1992 to the present.
  • 1992-2021 records were originally on the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) on Dspace system; those records were migrated to Dataverse in 2022.
  • Records with publication date 2022 or later are native to the Dataverse.
  • Data sets: 2022 to present
  • There are a few pre-1992 records. Those were added to the system on a case-by-case request basis.

  • Persistent IDs (PIDs):
  • 1992-2021 records have Handles
  • 2022 and later records have Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).

The evolution of ozone observed by UARS MLS in the Northern Hemisphere polar vortex is shown as a function of time throughout the stratosphere, for the 1991-1992 and 1992-1993 winters.

An analysis of 222 large (greater than 20-km-diameter) impact craters on Venus using both cycle 1 and cycle 2 Magellan data is being conducted to determine the radiophysical properties (i.e., backscatter cross section, emissivity, reflectivity, rms slope) of the craters and to se...

It is well known that trellis codded modulation schemes using multidimentional constellations for MPSK and QAM have a number of advantages, such as improved performance, over the more common two dimensional schemes [1,2].

Upon impact of the shockwaves generated by a supernova remnant, molecular gas and the associated dust grains are substantially excited and become prominent sources of infrared emission. Recent studies of such interactions, utilizing the infrared data and information from other wa...

Barba, Mary Ellen, 1993, "Evidence for Low Mass Star Formation in Cooling Flow Galaxies", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/35429, USA, JPL Open Repository
Evidence is presented based on narrow band optical and near-IR imaging that field and cluster cooling flow galaxies are enriched in low mass stars, the result of recent, truncated IMF star formation from accreting gas.
