The JPL Open Repository (JOR) replaced the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) in 2023. It is a repository for digital copies of technical publications authored by JPL employees. It includes journal articles (the Final Accepted Version), meeting papers, presentations, and other publications cleared for external distribution from 1992 to the present. It also include research datasets from 2022 on.

Years covered: 1992 to the present.
  • 1992-2021 records were originally on the JPL Technical Report Server (TRS) on Dspace system; those records were migrated to Dataverse in 2022.
  • Records with publication date 2022 or later are native to the Dataverse.
  • Data sets: 2022 to present
  • There are a few pre-1992 records. Those were added to the system on a case-by-case request basis.

  • Persistent IDs (PIDs):
  • 1992-2021 records have Handles
  • 2022 and later records have Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).

Bacmeister, Julio T.; Newman, Paul A.; Gary, Bruce; Chan, Roland, 1993, "An Algorithm for Forecasting Mountain Wave Related Turbulence in the Stratosphere", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/35333, Journal of Geophysical Reviews (American Geophysical Union), JPL Open Repository
A global mountain wave parameterization for prediction of wave related displacements and turbulence is described. The parameterization is used with input from NMC analyses of wind and temperature to examine small-scale disturbances encountered by the NASA high-altitude ER-2 durin...

Glazman, Roman E.; Greysukh, Alexander, 1993, "Satellite Altimeter Measurements of Surface Wind", https://hdl.handle.net/2014/35442, IGARSS '93 Proceedings, JPL Open Repository
In the present work, geophysical model functions (GMFs) for altimeter wind speed measurements are described. These GMFs account for an effect of the actual degree of sea development on the radar cross section by utilizing information on the significant wave height. The wind speed...
