dc.description.abstract PAN vapor was photolyzed at 248 nm and the NO subscript 2 photoproduct was detected by laser induced fluorescence (LIF). By comparison to the NO subscript 2 production from the photolysis of HNO subscript 3 under identical experimental conditions, we have obtained a relative quantum yield for the production of NO subscript 2. The implications of these results for atmospheric PAN chemistry will be discussed. en_US
