dc.description.abstract The presence of fluorine containing compounds (e.g. HF and COF2) in the Earth's atmosphere is thought to be due solely to the decomposition of man-made chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons and hydrofluorocarbons. The effect on atmosphere ozone of reactive fluorine-containing intermediates produced during CFC and HFC decomposition has attracted significant interest recently. en_US
