dc.description.abstract | Starlight is often polarized by its passage through interstellar material. Multiband photopolarimetry towards stars behind the molecular cloud L1457 (MBM 12) has been performed. This cloud is the nearest known molecular cloud (65pc) and is thought to be contained within the local "hot bubble". The measurement of this interstellar polarization using a photopolarimeter telescope is described. | en_US |
